The Toyota Yaris (XP150), which is based on the XP150 series Vios, is a subcompact car produced and sold by Toyota since 2013. It made its public debut at the 15th Auto Shanghai in April 2013. It was first launched for some Asian markets – including China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The XP150 series Yaris hatchback is larger and longer than the unrelated XP130 series Vitz or Yaris Liftback, which is sold in Japan, North America, Europe and Australasia. The XP150 series Yaris hatchback is also marketed as the Yaris Sport in Chile since 2014, and in Mexico and Argentina from 2016, where it is imported from Thailand. In Chile and Mexico, it replaced the XP130 series Vitz-based Yaris Liftback.
